BioThe Ngwenya Brothers, a Zimbabwean band of four musical Matsito brothers - Albert, Jabulani, Michael, and Tedious. The group rose to fame in the late 1980s with their unique blend of Sungura music.
Their first song, "Zuvaguru," recorded in 1990 while they were still gardeners, flopped. Undeterred, they honed their craft with the help of veteran musician Shepherd Chinyani.
Two years later, their breakthrough arrived with the album "Nyaradzo," considered one of Sungura's finest.
Throughout their career, the Ngwenya Brothers recorded and released seven albums. Unfortunately, the group disbanded following the passing of all four brothers.
Though gone, the Ngwenya Brothers' legacy lives on.
Their music, a vibrant tapestry of Sungura's soul, continues to resonate with fans across generations.
