BioOrchestre Negro Band, a musical group from Brazzaville, Congo, was established in 1958 by Max Massengo. This Congolese rumba group was distinctive for incorporating folkloric rhythms on the guitar. Notably, their music featured saxophone leads, which played a dominant role in shaping their sound during the 1960s. The group served as the house band at Esongo and recorded at Esengo alongside Rock 'a' Mambo and other bands.
