BioQuartier Latin International, commonly known as Quartier Latin, is a Congolese music band that dominated the African music scene in the 1980s. The group was created by the legendary Congolese musician Koffi Olomide and has released numerous albums to date. They are known for their unique fusion of soukous, rumba, and other African rhythms.
Quartier Latin has earned a massive following not only in Africa but also around the world, making them one of the most successful African musical bands of all time. Some of the band members (including former members) are Cindy Le Coeur, Fally Ipupa, Ferre Gola, Savanet Depitcho, and Montana Kamenga, to mention a few.
