BioSaf Sap, based in Marseille, France, is a multicultural band blending West African and Southern French influences. Established in 1994 by Fallou Ndiaye from Senegal and Kouly Barry from France, both vocalists, percussionists, and composers, the group embraces Afro-groove music. Their songs feature lyrics in Wolof (Senegal's language) and French, addressing urban societal issues, love, and violence. Saf Sap gained recognition at the 1997 "Le Printemps de Bourges festival" in France, leading to nationwide tours. Their debut album, "Nit Ki," includes tracks featured in the Global Soul Compilation by Putumayo World Music's label in New York. Additionally, they participated in the 2003 World Music Festival.
