BioSafary is a Senegalese musical ensemble established in Dakar in 2015. Defa, Maria, Aminata, and Khadija Safary are the four members of this ensemble. As children, the Safary sisters began performing together. They absorbed influences from a variety of musical genres, including Senegalese mbalax, American R&B, and French cabaret. The sisters founded Safary in 2015 and began performing in local venues and festivals. Safary rapidly acquired a fan base due to its distinctive sound and spirited live performances. The group's debut album, "Destination Sénégal," was released in 2018.
