BioSkylight is a prominent South African Christian pop rock band that was formed in Johannesburg in 2009.
The band members, Gregory Jorden, Bradley Cumming, and Peter Klein, met at a local Christmas carols event in December 2008 and started writing music together. Later, Wesley Ayliffe, the fourth member of the band joined.
They called their collective Skylight, which they explained as a reference to allowing light to shine into people's lives.
In 2010, Skylight rose to prominence when they won the Road to Joburg Day competition.
They also entered the SA's Got Talent reality competition and placed in the Top 20.
During this time, they released their single "Always Enough," which secured them a spot on the Joburg Day line-up.
Unfortunately, Gregory Jorden developed nodules on his vocal cords, which forced the band to take some time off.
He eventually healed naturally over a period of two years and the group came back strong and better.
