BioStyl-Plus is a Nigerian R&B and pop group formed in 1997, originally operating as STYL, a gospel quartet founded by Shifi Emoefe, Tunde Akinsanmi, Yemi Akinwonmi and Lanre Faneyi. Following Faneyi’s death and the addition of Zeal Onyecheme, the group adopted the Styl-Plus name. In 2001, they expanded from gospel into inspirational, romantic, and pop music, establishing a style centered on vocal harmony, relationship narratives, and multilingual songwriting.
Yemi Akinwonmi left in 2002, while Styl-Plus Music was established in 2003. The group gained national recognition through songs including “Olufunmi,” “Runaway,” “Call My Name,” “Imagine That,” “Ima,” “Always on My Mind,” and “Four Years.” Their debut album, "Expressions," was released in 2006, followed by "Back and Better" in 2008 and "Unbreakable" in 2010.
Tunde Akinsanmi left in 2012, leaving Shifi and Zeal as the group’s principal members. Styl-Plus continues to represent Nigerian R&B through its enduring catalog and live performances today.
