BioThe Cyclops were a pioneering force in the Nigerian pop music scene during the mid-60s. The band was formed by a group of students and young clerical workers who pooled their resources to acquire imported instruments and matching stage costumes. They gained prominence with the release of their song "Old School Cool". Their innovative sound, which blended elements of rock, pop, and traditional Nigerian music, captivated audiences and propelled them to success. The Cyclops emulated the professional sheen of the Shadows and were the first pop band in Nigeria to make a record.
