BioThe quartet band sure lives up to its mantra: "The Fake Leather Blues Band is all about entertainment and having fun with serious musicians who can play the living crap out of their instruments" and performs live with only a few rehearsals sessions and more on and band members' skills. The Fake Leather Blues Band, commonly called FLBB, is a South African blues band formed in 2003 and led by Conrad Jamneck. The other band line-up includes Franco Jamneck (bassist and backing vocals), Peter Toussaint (lead guitarist and backing vocals), Wim van Vuuren (drummer), and Pedro Barbosa (rhythm guitarist). Though the band has not released any album or single, they have performed at several festivals and events. FLBB has also collaborated with other bands, performing live on stage together. Recently, in 2023, the band celebrated its twentieth anniversary.
