BioThe Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962 whose career has helped define rock music for more than six decades. Built around Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, the group developed a powerful sound influenced by American blues, rhythm and blues, soul, and rock and roll. Their landmark recordings include “(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction,” “Paint It, Black, and “Start Me Up.” Albums such as “Let It Bleed, and “Exile on Main St.” became enduring landmarks of popular music. The band's history also includes major personnel changes, including the deaths of founding member Brian Jones and drummer Charlie Watts, while Ronnie Wood became a permanent member in the 1970s. The Rolling Stones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and have received multiple Grammy Awards. Their 2023 album “Hackney Diamonds” marked their return with new original material after nearly two decades.
