Bio
Vaudou Game is an afro-funk band founded in Lyon, France, by Togolese musician Peter Solo. The idea to infuse 70s funk and R&B with the deeply spiritual voodoo traditions came to Peter Solo, whose mother was an adherent. The band members include Peter Solo, David Kiledjian, Jérôme Bartolomé, Julien de Saint Jean, Nicolas Delaunay, Simon Bacroix, and Vicente Fritis. The band's music blends West African voodoo rhythms with funk, soul, and rock elements, creating a unique and infectious sound. Their debut album, "Apiafo," released in 2014, garnered critical acclaim and international recognition. The band has since released multiple albums and toured extensively around the world, performing at various festivals and venues. Vaudou Game's music is characterized by danceable rhythms, powerful vocals, and guitar playing. Their live performances are known for their high energy and audience engagement, fusing African traditions with contemporary styles.
