BioWachuja Nafaka is a pioneering Tanzanian hip-hop group that rose to prominence in the early 2000s as a cornerstone of the Bongo Flava movement. The group consists of members Juma Nature (Juma Kassim Ally), Rashid Ziada, and Moses Ochwangi. They gained widespread acclaim for their debut album, Mzee Wa Busara (2002), which featured hit tracks like "Mzee wa Busara" and "Ya Leo Kali." Produced largely by P-Funk Majani at Bongo Records, their music blended American hip-hop influences with traditional Tanzanian storytelling. As key members of the TMK Wanaume Family, Wachuja Nafaka helped define the "Kizazi Kipya" (new generation) era, using their lyrics to address social issues, cultural identity, and daily life in Dar es Salaam.
