BioWest African Highlife Band is a US-based Highlife band, comprising of veteran West African musicians and led by prolific Nigerian vocalist-composer and bassist, Babá Ken Okulolo. The initial band line-up consists of Soji Odukogbe (guitarist), Pope Flyn (vocalist, African dance instructor, keyboardist, and master drummer), Nii Armah Hammond (percussionist), Lemi Barrow (trap drummer), Rasaki Aladokun (talking drum drummer). Some of the band's most popular album is "Salute to Highlife Pioneers" with notable songs such as "Mama Dey for Kumba", "Olomi Jowo", and "It's Time for Highlife." Though the band line-up had changed over the years due to many reasons, the band remains relevant in the present day.
