Bhadboi OML kicks off 2025 in high gear with the release of his EP, Bhad Boi. This six-track project demonstrates his ability to blend different genres and styles, creating a fresh but familiar sound.

The EP features a blend of traditional and modern sounds, building up to a journey that showcases his creativity and deep-rooted cultural influences.

The 6-track project opens with Chocolate & Caramel, immediately setting the tone with its Afrobeat-Esq chords. It borrows the iconic “Chocolate and caramel oouuwee” line from Mannywellz’s hit "Ouu wee (brown)." The track feels nostalgic and fresh, drawing listeners in with its energy and delightful melody.

The second track, Alimanjiri, is an innovative departure from the more mainstream sounds of the other tracks. It features the traditional Hausa vocal style and the dry, resonant sound of the gurmi, a traditional instrument from the Hausa people. This cultural reach results in a rich blend of modern production approach and traditional Nigerian music.

The pre-released lead singles Testimony and Opueh are the project's standout tracks. The two tracks have gained significant traction, racking over 2.5 million streams and 600k streams on Spotify, respectively.

Toxic Love and Iron God round out the six-track EP. Toxic Love explores the complexities of a love-hate relationship with a percussive-driven beat and a reggae-like vamp chord. Meanwhile, Iron God is a bold track with a driving rhythm and a standout chorus, embodying resilience and strength.

With “Bhad Boi,” Bhadboi OML brilliantly blends Afrobeat, reggae, traditional Nigerian sounds, and contemporary Afro-fusion. Each track offers something different, from the cultural authenticity of Alimanjiri to the appeal of Chocolate & Caramel and Testimony.

This project resonates exceptionally with the local audience, with the album peaking at second on the Nigerian Apple music charts. This makes it the highest-topping project released in 2025.
