After spending eighteen years with the well-known Kenyan pop group Sauti Sol, a former member, Bien has made a big leap by releasing his solo album, "Alusa Why Are You Topless?" With this album, Bien embarks on a solo career and explores uncharted areas while exploring fresh beginnings and independence.

According to Bien in an interview, the fascinating title of the album comes from his second name, "Alusa." The question "Why are you topless" is a metaphor for the artist's daring attitude to this new phase of his life. Bien claims that it captures the spirit of his audacious new season, denoting a sense of freedom and the acceptance of fresh possibilities. Furthermore, the title is a disciplined message that will serve as his motto during this transitional period.

Bien recently thanked everyone for their cooperative efforts in making the album a success in a statement. He expressed his gratitude to all of the project participants for their dedication and restless nights. This expression of gratitude is the artist's way of expressing how much they value the team effort and commitment of everyone who helped create "Alusa Why Are You Topless?"

Showing off the leader of Sol Generation's artistic confidence, the 16-song album features the beloved vocalist in collaborations with both well-known and up-and-coming musicians, including the  Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, British 'Got Talent' star Sarah Ikumu and Scar Mkadinali, Nigerian Tay Iwar and UK's Ms Banks. Renowned Afrobeats artist Sammy Soso, who serves as the album's executive producer, lends his expertise to the endeavor.

This 16-track album features songs that highlight Bien's creative skills as an artist. One track is "Ma Cherie," with enticing vocals and engrossing instrumentals; this song comes together flawlessly. The lyrics, vocal delivery, romantic vibes, and production all culminate into a captivating sound that appeals to several listeners. "Ma Cherie" is a promising beginning to Bien's solo musical career and demonstrates his skill as a solo musician.

Another standout piece in the album is  “True Love.” Taking the number eight spot on the tracklist, True Love is an exquisitely crafted tune that blends contemporary Afro-acoustic vibes with African choral sounds and poignant, honest, and affecting lyrics.

Also, the second track, "Lost & Found," is a noteworthy piece of music that delves into the intricacies of love and relationships. It's an energetic and cheerful song that evokes dancing to its upbeat and summery composition.

Overall, Alusa Why Are You Topless? is not merely a musical project following Sauti Sol's breakup; it's a reflection of Bien's growth as a person and an artist.
