Hailing from Lagos, Nigeria, Timothy Oyesanya, known by his stage name Tim Lyre, is a versatile Afro-fusion and Afrobeats artist.

Recognized for his prowess as a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Tim Lyre released his debut album "Worry <" in 2022. Worry < (pronounced as Worry Less) was a 9-track album that quickly gained cult-classic acclaim within the alté community.

Recently, the multi-talented artist Tim Lyre made another massive appearance on the music scene with a beautifully crafted piece, MASTA.

Introduced with swift piano chords that draw one's attention to his rhymes, “Why Evils” features alté and Neo-soul artist Tay Iwar, a fellow label mate. This track welcomes a drum bounce, and Lyre goes on in a monologue about his career, talent, and confidence in his music. With a beautiful, laid-back verse after collecting his thoughts, he questions the reason why people challenge him. With lines like Baby, I’m way too skilled for these niggas to test me, he reaffirms his confidence and the beauty of his music. Tay Iwar follows with the second verse with his unique, smoothly flowing voice and lyrics, talking about needing a break from his life struggles.

The second track, Running Over, starts with an incredible pulsating drum bounce. Tim Lyre seizes this beat with his usual intensity, akin to a tiger's ferocious pounce on its prey. His approach mirrors the predator's fierce strike, showcasing his skill and command over the rhythm. Lines like Mama don’t worry I got this... I’m too slick ... they can’t top my confidence and Now wey I don master the art, you can call me Van Gogh, Bad belle pack up your shit and go, reinforces his message.

In this danceable, lively track, Masta, which takes the third spot, he teams up with Croydon songwriter Jords. Masta definitely deserves a spot on your party playlist. Here, Tim Lyre beckons doubters to draw near. He urges them to witness firsthand why he's acclaimed, earning the title of MASTA from those who recognize his exceptional talent. Jords’ verse in this hit is commendable and adds that dynamic flair the track possesses.

Track four, Skyline, produced by Ronehi and Tim Lyre, marks a tonal shift in the album. It starts with a brief commentary in Yoruba, showing Tim Lyre keeping in touch with his roots. In this track, Tim seamlessly navigates between singing and rapping over rap beats, narrating his career journey and a tale of affection for his love interest.

The fifth track, Chasing Wind, self-produced by Tim Lyre, delves into the mental struggles of being famous, likening it to an elusive pursuit. Highlighting South African artist Khanyisa's beautiful vocals and the rhythmic sound of log drums, Tim Lyre effortlessly layers his confident flow with Khanyisa's voice, creating a magical musical synergy.
