Nigerian singer-songwriter and Afrobeats star Waje came through with this new EP, “Same Human Different Beast.” This 5-track solo journey showcases Waje's artistic, creative, and innovative approach to the music business. Each track is a testament to Waje’s ability to blend different musical influences without hassle, thus, creating a unique and brilliant listening experience.

The intro track, “Calm Down” sets the tone for this brilliant EP. Embracing the dancehall rhythm wholeheartedly, Waje lays witty lyrics like ‘And I know say dis DO RE MI go FA SO LA TI DO’ over well-crafted beats, grabbing the beat’s flow with firm grit.

"Energy” sitting second, is a bold anthem where Waje talks about staying focused and not letting negative influences or distractions get in the way of one's goals. The choir-like chorus adds an anthemic quality to the track, making it a powerful and uplifting listen. The production on this track is exceptional, with a fusion of Afrobeats rhythms and Amapiano influences.

The third track “Odo” pulls at the heartstrings with its heartfelt lyrics and melodic approach. Fused with beautiful chord progressions, Waje’s vocals shine brightly on this track. Her smooth and sultry vocals glide over the laid-back groove, creating a perfect blend of passion and melancholy. With polished production, the track highlights Waje's ability to adapt to various musical styles and landscapes.

The fourth track “Worries”, comes with an upbeat tempo featuring a catchy hook and infectious rhythm. The pre-released track explores overcoming anxieties and finding peace with lines like ‘Pack all your worries to the side, no let anything bother your mind.’ This track came as Waje’s first intro of the year and its production was done by talented music producer Bash.

The closing track, “With You”, is an Afrobeats love serenade that beautifully explores the theme of romantic devotion. With lines like ‘I wan dey with you baby,’ Waje delicately pours emotion into every note, creating an intimate atmosphere. The gentle rhythm and melody in the final track make it a perfect conclusion to the incredible EP.

From the first to the last track of Same Human Different Beast, Waje’s solo performance is phenomenal with her vocal range, ability to adapt to different styles, and emotional delivery that takes center stage.
