Bio
Football came before the recording studio for Mpho Lebajoa, the South African artist better known as Scotts Maphuma. Growing up in Gauteng, he spent his early years pursuing youth football, developing the discipline and competitive spirit that later found a place in music. Around 2017, he began organizing informal jam sessions, gradually building connections that introduced him to the growing amapiano movement. His first major exposure arrived in 2018 through Dlala Regal's release, "Umshini." Wider recognition followed with the 2022 album "Saka," which established him among amapiano's notable names. He continued that momentum with "PIATO (A Different Chapter)," the "Umswenko EP," and great singles. Collaborations with Felo Le Tee, Young Stunna, and Kabza De Small further expanded his profile. Outside the studio, his performances and the crowd phrase "bathini bona" have become central to his identity, while partnerships with several labels continue to support his growing career through the years.
