The Moreira Project is led by 30 year old Moreira Chonguica who is an award-winning Cape Town based musician, songwriter, producer record label director and sazophonist originally from Mozambique. Moreira's debut album THE MOREIRA PROJECT Vol 1 - The Journey was released in December 2005 and has been received with overwhleming response from the industry and media. The album expresses his phenomenal song writing ability and energetic performances. THE MOREIRA PROJECT has played a numerous top South African festival and as saxophonist within the band of Jimmy Dludlu, he played many overseas festivals
