    Alain Makaba is a singer, songwriter, arranger, and guitarist. Hailing from DR Congo, he is known as a founding member of the group Wenge Musica. His songs Tuna Tina, Tchane, Nadangwe, Wemina, and Princesse Pathy are well recognized. He made contributions to popular albums, including Kin E. Bouge and Titanic. He studied at Notre Dame de Mbanza-Boma, a Catholic boarding school in Bas-Congo, where he picked up the guitar from his Wenge Musica classmates. Alain recorded his debut solo album, Pile ou Face, in 1995 while on the Pentagon tour with Wenge Musica.

After this, he released several successful albums, including "Africa Mia" ("My Africa") and "Ballade des Rois Bongo" ("Ballad of the Bongo Kings").
