BioThe Khiama Boys were a popular Zimbabwean music group formed in the early 1980s. The group was composed of four brothers, Nicholas Zacharia, Alick Macheso, Cephas Karushanga, and System Tazvida, who were known for their energetic performances and use of traditional instruments, such as the mbira and hosho. The Khiama Boys' music blended traditional Zimbabwean styles with modern influences, creating a unique sound that was popular throughout Zimbabwe and other parts of Africa. They released several albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including "Mabvi Namagokora", "Kuva Nemari", and " Ndine Mubvunzo". The band split in 1997 with Alick Macheso forming his own band, Orchestra Mberikwazvo, while the bandleader, Nicholas Zakaria, exploring other works aside music.
