BioFormed in 1977, the Les Trois Frères ensemble swiftly achieved popularity in Brazzaville. The group consisted of Youlou Mabiala (the founder and vocalist), Michel Boyibanda, and Loko Massengo.
Their songs, "Youlou Koumbe" and "Saley," were released in 1978 and enjoyed immediate and massive success, propelling the trio to become one of the most influential musical groups in Congo-Brazzaville. Three years later, internal disagreements took a toll, leading to the separation of The Three Brothers, with Youlou departing to establish the Kamikaze Loninguissa orchestra.
