BioOrchestre Lipua Lipua, also known as Lipwa Lipwa, meaning "confusion" or "disorder," was founded by Nyboma Mwandido in Zaire, Congo, during the 1970s. The band was established under the Verckys Editions Veve Label. Its key members included Nyboma Mwandido (Vocals), Verckys (Vocals), and Veta Mombasa (Vocals). In April 1973, they made their debut with a release titled "Kamale," which quickly gained recognition as the song of the year. They followed this success with other notable releases, including "Fuga Fuga," "Lossa," "Mbondo," and "Lemba Lemba," among others.
