BioSomo Somo musical group, celebrated for their Congolese rumba and soukous music, was born in 1974 in the DRC, featuring Mose Fan Fan (lead guitar), Youlou Mabiala (vocals), Lutumba Simaro (rhythm guitar), and Youlou Mabiala (bass). Their initial lineup was brief, with members rejoining Lutumba Simaro. In the early 1980s, Mose Fan Fan resurrected the group in Kenya, reuniting the legends behind authentic Congolese rumba. This revival included musicians like Jean Marie Lago and Victor Dinganga on saxophones, Michel Boyibanda as a vocalist, José Kalanzaya as a singer, Jean Pierre M on bass guitar, Leon Musafiri on rhythm guitar, and Maya Erick on drums, with Mose Fan Fan as their leader. This could be their last performance, offering a rare chance to experience pure Congolese rumba from its original creators.
