BioTarika, a Malagasy musical group of five members (Hanitra, Noro, Donné, Ny Ony, and Solo), makes music with instruments such as marovany, valiha, kabosy, and jejy voatavo. Tarika's music is based on musical tradition, and they perform music from various genres such as World and Malagasy roots. Hanitra and Noro, two sisters, lead the group. Tarika was named one of the "ten best bands on the planet" by TIME magazine in 2001.
