BioIn 1997, Wenge Musica Maison Mère emerged in the music scene of the Democratic Republic of Congo, formed by Werrason, Didier Masela, and Adolphe Dominguez following the dissolution of their original band, Wenge Musica. Under Werrason's guidance, the group nurtured talents like Ferré Gola, Héritier Watanabe, Fabregas le Métis Noir, and Bill Clinton Kalonji. However, the band experienced its first split in 2004 when Ferré, Bill Clinton, and JDT Mulopwe departed to create Les Marquis de Maison Mère. Despite challenges, Wenge Musica Maison Mère persevered, releasing albums under various labels, including JPS (1997–2003), Diego Music (2009–2012), and Werrason World (since 2013). Renowned for their dynamic performances and infectious rhythms, the band has solidified its position as a prominent force in Congolese and African music, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
