Following the success of their 2019 collaboration and the formation of their duo name GOLD, Tay Iwar and producer Le Mav are back with a stunning EP, GOLD II. This highly anticipated six-track release is a brilliant collaboration, blending Tay’s remarkable music talent and Le Mav’s exceptional production genius.

The EP opens up with the single, Simple Things, a smooth track of R&B. Iwar’s distinct vocals glide over Le Mav’s and Rayo’s production masterpiece. They created an EP intro that is both emotionally resonant and rhythmically delightful.

In the same breath, the track flows into the next one flawlessly, maintaining the meticulous attention to details prevalent throughout the album. The second track, "Feels" is an enchanting blend of Amapiano, Afrobeats, and R&B. Previously released on June 5, 2024, the track has garnered a lot of streams on DSPs and is the headliner of the project.

Throughout the album, each track reveals Tay Iwar’s ability to create atmospheric and emotional soundscapes, while Le Mav provides the perfect foundation with his production. The EP also features brilliant moments of innovation and showcases production ability, such as the radiant log drum prominence in Get Down and Rock Steady, where the duo experiments with futuristic sound designs and intricate beat switches.

Lyrically, the project is thematically around love, desire, and self-discovery. Tay Iwar’s honest and well-processed feelings in his songwriting add depth to the project. Tracks like "Golden Girl" and "Trials & Tribulations" showcase his ability to create a relatable narrative—additionally, the attention to detail, subtle sonic touches, and well-layered arrangements prompt repeated plays.
