Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer Tems has won her first solo Grammy Award.

Tems, whose full name is Temilade Openiyi, received the highly coveted gramophone trophy for her song "Love Me JeJe" in the Best African Music Performance category at the 67th Grammy Awards.

Other notable nominees in this category included Yemi Alade for "Tomorrow," Asake and Wizkid for "MMS," Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay for "Sensational," and Burna Boy for "Higher."

This Grammy Award marks Tems' second win; her first was in 2023 for her collaboration on American hip-hop star Drake's song "Wait For U" with Future.
