This Album describes the music of  East Africa.

Orchestre Nègro Succès, also known as the Negro Jazz Band of East Africa, was founded in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo by Vicky Longombaby.

Longombaby later transferred the band leadership to Léon Bolhen Bombolo when he left to join Orchestre T.P.O.K. Jazz.

The band's style was marked by Siongo Bavon Marie-Marie, brother of Franco, who accelerated the tempo of the rumba odemba.

The band featured various artists throughout its existence, including Vicky Longomba, Armando Brazzos, Jean Dinos, Samy Kiadaka, Empompo Loway, Léon Amba, Gaspard Luwowo, and more.

They signed with Esengo record company and had their first recordings, which were a success.

Franco advised Bolhen to hire his little brother Bavon Marie-Marie, who became the lead guitarist, and the band recorded many famous pieces that remain popular in Congolese memories. After Bavon Marie-Marie's tragic car accident in 1970, the band hired other lead guitarists and continued to record music.

Orchestre Nègro Succès was disbanded in 1973.

Orchestre Nègro Succès, known as the "Negro Jazz Band of East Africa", was a DRC band founded by Vicky Longombaby, and later led by Bholen.
