BioFormed in 1963, Bob Marley & The Wailers, formerly called The Teenagers/The Wailers/The Wailing Wailers/The Wailing Rudeboys, were a Jamaican musical group that played ska, rocksteady, and reggae. The band was formed by three major members, namely Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer, and also included band members made up of the Aston family and the I-Threes. The year 1974 saw the disbandment of the band due to disagreements with the label they were signed to, but prior to this time, the band had released six albums to their name. The Wailers were noted for songs such as "Simmer Down," "Trenchtown Rock," "Nice Time," "War," "Stir It Up," and "Get Up, Stand Up."
