Vanillah, born Fanuel Phabian Peter in Mwanza, Tanzania, has quickly become a standout voice in the Afro-pop and Bongo Flava music industry. Though details about his early life are sparse, his musical journey began taking shape in 2022 with the release of his EP ‘Listen to Me (Nisikulize),’ featuring the breakout track ‘Unanisitiri.’ His smooth Swahili vocals, fused with East African rhythms, set him apart. Songs like ‘Hakunaga,’ ‘Najikubali,’ and the 2025 single ‘I Gat U,’ have earned him a loyal following, both locally and across East Africa.
