BioZaiko Langa Langa is a Congolese band that was formed in1969 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The band was a pioneer of a new style of music called soukous, which is a fusion of traditional African rhythms, Cuban rumba, and European harmonies. The original members of Papa Wemba, Mavuela Somo, Evoloko Lay Lay, Teddy Sukami, Oncle Bapius, Zamuangana le meilleur and Manuaku Waku (also known as Pépé Fely) with N'Yoka Longo. Their unique sound and energetic performances quickly gained popularity in the region and beyond. Zaiko Langa Langa has released numerous albums over the years and has toured extensively throughout Africa, Europe, and North America. They have been praised for their innovative approach to music and their ability to blend different styles and rhythms seamlessly.
